Pool Rental Options-Private Party or Shelter Only Rentals

As a Heather Hills Pool Member, you are able to rent the pool shelter for birthday parties during pool operation hours (your guests need to be pool members OR you need to pay $10 per guest attending your birthday party.)
In addition to renting the pool shelter only, you also have the option of renting the entire pool for a private party or birthday bash held after pool closing. Please be sure to read over the Pool Rules linked below.

Heather Hills Pool Rules and Policies


Heather Hills Club, Inc. Board of Directors has adopted the following Rules and Policies. The rules are designed to protect the interest and safety of all members and their guests. All members are encouraged to abide by the intent of these rules. Should any disputes occur, the decision of the Board of Directors will be final.

Participation in the pool is a privilege extended only to Members of the Heather Hills Club (HHC) and members of Garner Swim and Recreation Club (GSRC). Continual abuse and/or violation of these rules may result in loss of pool privileges.


The pool is open to all members in good standing of HHC or GSRC. In order to be a member in good standing, members must be current on all money owed the Club, including, but not limited to past pool fees, initiation fees, clubhouse rental fees, etc. Members not in good standing must satisfy any and all liabilities before they are eligible to join the pool.

Pool privileges are extended on a Household, Couple/Double or Single Membership basis upon annual membership payment. Household Members* who are listed on the membership may use the pool during business hours. There are NO reduced memberships available. The swimming fee must be paid prior to attending the pool – there will be no admittance until all fees are paid.
* A household is defined as immediate family or individuals who can verify proof of residency at same address. Those over 18 must show some type of verification to show address such as NC license or NC ID.

Proof of Residency (photo ID) for all adults and adult children (18 and older) in the residence may be requested.

Members will be asked by a front gate attendant for the name prior to entry to the pool. If the individual trying to get into the pool does not have an active membership, is not part of a household, or is not a guest of anyone, they will not be allowed entry.

Members may bring a guest or guests to the pool upon payment of a guest fee. All guests must register with the front desk upon check-in. Guests are limited to 5 visits/season, regardless of what member they are a guest of. Guests will not be allowed entry if their sponsoring member is not present.  Guest fees are $10.00 a day, and children under the age of two are free.


Children under the age of 12 may not be left alone at the pool and must be accompanied by either a parent or their authorized baby-sitter.  Should children be left unattended, parents may be called back to the pool to watch their children or to pick them up.

Pool members who are not able to attend the pool with underage children may utilize the service of a baby-sitter. Should the baby-sitter not be a pool member, then the parent can purchase a baby-sitter pass for $50.00. The baby-sitter must meet the following criteria:

  • The baby-sitter must be 16 or older.
  • The sitter must watch the child at all times.
  • The sitter may not visit the pool without the children for whom he/she was issued a pass.
  • The sitter may not visit the pool when the children’s parents are in attendance at the pool.
  • The children watched must be under age 12.


generally the pool aims for a soft opening the weekend before Memorial Day with the official opening on Memorial Day weekend.  The season will run through Labor Day.

During periods when traditional school is in session, the pool will open at 4:00 PM.
Note: The Garner Dolphins do host home swim meets at the pool. On those days the pool will close at 4:30 PM. A lap lane will be designated for exercise swimming from 6:00 PM until close, if requested.

There will be a ten-minute break at the end of each hour. During the breaks, adults may enter the pool. Children under five may enter the pool with the parent during these breaks.


The pool is available for rent on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings for private parties from 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM for HHC & GSRC only Members. HHC Members shall not rent the pool for GSRC Members.


Organized parties for children under 13 are allowed during regular pool hours. The shelter may be reserved and rented by HHC & GSRC Members with 2 tables for a period of 2 hours. Guests are limited to 10 non-member swimmers. Cost is $25.00 to rent the shelter. Guest fees must be paid in addition to the shelter rental fee.

The HHC Clubhouse is available for rent to HHC & GSRC Members for weddings, dinners, and private parties. Reservations can be made up to one-year in advance. Please be aware that if the Clubhouse is rented, the top row of parking spaces will be blocked. Please be courteous to those renting the clubhouse.

The baby pool is for use of children under 5. The baby pool is an uninsured pool. An adult guardian must be in the fenced in area of the pool with the child at all times. Unattended children and children over the age of 5 will be asked to leave the baby pool.


Tobacco use is not allowed within the “Non Smoking” areas, as designated by signage. It is requested by the Heather Hills Board that all members and guests using tobacco products be courteous and respectful of non- smokers as not to infringe on their rights of enjoyment of the pool area and their personal health, in general. All smoking materials and tobacco products must be disposed of in the appropriate receptacles where tobacco use is allowed within the pool area.

Members or guests who violate the “Non Smoking” policy should be reminded of the policy and asked to comply by putting out the lighted tobacco product or relocating to an area outside of the designated “No Smoking” area. If a member refuses to comply with the policy, pool management staff should be immediately contacted. That pool management staff will then follow up with the member or guest regarding the policy. If a member refuses to comply with the “Non Smoking” policy, said member will be asked to leave the pool area.


In the case of a fecal accident in the pool, the cleanup costs for additional chemicals and cleaning will be transferred to the parent of the child or the member (household) who signed them in as their guest – $150 per occurrence.



Members or guests who leave personal items at the pool (i.e. towels, toys, goggles) will be put in the lost and found for a holding period of two weeks. If the items are not collected by the owner, they will be sent to an establishment which collects and resells used merchandise.

The above also applies to the lockers in the bath areas. Those items that are not cleaned out by the end of the day are put in the lost and found.


The Pool Manager on duty will have the sole authority to close the pool because of inclement weather or other unsafe conditions. The Pool Manager on duty will closely monitor local radar and weather reports. If necessary, the pool will be closed and guests will be asked to exit the water. The Pool Manager on duty will reopen the pool as soon as the weather or the unsafe condition allows.

It should be noted that pool management staff cannot predict whether the pool will be closed when severe weather is predicted, nor can they predict when the pool with reopen after a severe weather closure. Decision will be made on a case by case basis.



1. The Pool Manager has on-site authority to make decisions that he/she deems to be in the best interest of Heather Hills Club.

2. Heather Hills assumes no responsibility for injury and/or damage resulting in pool use. Please use at your own risk.

3. Lifeguards are trained to provide for the safety of all pool members and their guests. Directives by the lifeguards are to be obeyed.

4. Lifeguards may require swimmers violating various rules or causing disruptive behavior, to leave the swimming area for a set period of time. Continued abuse may result in the Pool Management Staff asking the swimmer to leave the pool property. No swimming will be allowed unless a lifeguard is on duty.

5. Each member and guest must shower before entering the pool.

6. Rough or boisterous conduct or activities deemed unacceptable will not be permitted.

7. Abuse and/or misuse of Heather Hills Club property and equipment is unacceptable.Violators will be held financially responsible for damages and losses. Violators will be asked to leave the premises and action may result in entry privileges being suspended or revoked.

8. Only one person at a time on the diving boards and ladders.

9. Swimmers are not permitted to play with or hang onto the diving board.

10. No tennis balls are allowed in the pool area.
11. Flippers, masks, snorkels, and other foreign objects must meet lifeguard approval. 12. Children who wear the swimmer diapers and other diapers must wear rubber pants in the water.
13. Dogs and other pets are not permitted in the pool enclosure at any time.
14. No loitering with lifeguards while they are on duty.
15. A telephone is available at the concession stand for public use. Phone calls are limited to one-minute.
16. No chairs or other personal items may be left overnight.
17. Members and guests are fully responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged at HHC.                                                                                                                               18. ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS WITHIN THE POOL ENCLOSURE! Pool Management Staff and HHC Board Members reserve the right to inspect coolers.                                                    19. All trash must be placed in the appropriate container. This includes recycling.

20. No alcoholic beverages may be displayed in the pool area. All alcoholic beverages (cans or plastic bottles) must be completely covered by “koozies”, or the contents poured into a plastic cup/ container, while being consumed within the pool area.

21. Intoxicated individuals considered by Pool Management Staff to be a risk to their own safety, or the safety of others, will be asked to leave the Pool Premises immediately.

22. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
23. No profanity is permitted.
24. Persons with infectious diseases are prohibited from using the facility. Open wounds

must be covered. No one with an open wound will be allowed in the swimming pool.    25. No running is allowed in the pool enclosure.
26. Pool shoes or water footwear is recommended in the pool and grass areas.
27. No food or beverage is allowed within 4-feet of the pool. Spillage may cause closure of the pool.
28. Firearms, weapons of any type, fireworks, combustible liquids, illegal drugs, or other items dangerous to the safety and welfare of the public ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE POOL PREMISES AT ANY TIME.
29.Harassment is not tolerated. The term “harassment” includes, but is not limited to, slurs, jokes, and other verbal, graphic, or physical contact relating to an individual’s race, color, sex, religion, national origin, citizenship, age, or handicap. “Harassment” also includes sexual favors, unwelcome or offensive touching, and other verbal, graphic, or physical conduct of a sexual nature.                                                                                    30.Lockers are for day use only. Lockers which are not cleared at the end of the day will have the lock cut off and all items will be removed and bagged for pick-up. There will be a two (2) week holding period at which time all items found will be sent to an establishment which collects and resells used merchandise.                                          31.Guests are fully responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged at HHC. Guests are responsible for bringing their own lock when using the lockers.

32.No child over the age of five (5) may be brought in the locker room of the opposite sex.

33.Guests and visitors shall abide by the rules and regulations of the Heather Hills Club Pool. People found in violation of these rules may have their HHC/GSRC privileges suspended or revoked.
